Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams in "Blue Valentine"

You know it's going to be depressing as hell. And the acting will be amazing.
See you there.

Thank you Tammy for the heads up!

Also, for proof of Ryan Gosling's astonishing acting ability see Half Nelson.

  1. Ryan Gosling is amazing. Jeff said he's particularly good in Half Nelson.

  2. Jeff's right. I just added the link to my piece on Half Nelson - Gosling is brilliant in it! One of my favourite working actors right now, by far.

  4. Just listening to his singing of the song makes me feel so sad already....

  5. Good use of 'old' songs in good new films can give those songs another lease of life.

  6. Hmm, never seen Fracture, but might now have to give it a look-see, D.

And T, for sure; I think Tarantino has resurrected many an old band in this way. I've also found Neil Young's stuff all over the TV and movies lately. Though not sure Neil needed much resurrecting.

  7. I hate to say it but I've only seen Ryan Gosling in The Notebook and that's why I want to see this film. Should I be ashamed...?

  8. No! Cause I love that you can be honest about it. Granted I'll have to tease you about it the next time I see you. The Notebook!? Oh Reina-chan!
