Big Words

To conclude his lecture on George Orwell's "1984," Dr. Arthur Haberman of York University said (and I paraphrase; it was 12 years ago):

But Orwell got it wrong. Big Brother isn't watching us. He doesn't need to. We're watching him.

And with that he left the lecture hall.

  3. I like the link, and also had a memory of a different post you wrote that hinted at this.

    Also, a bookseller in a lovely used shop in Toronto was telling me that Orwell is one of those authors that he can never stock enough of. Always in demand. Never out of fashion.
